A Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) is a trained professional who specializes in the care of newborns, from birth to about 16 weeks of age. As a NCS I provide expert guidance and hands-on support to new parents, helping establish healthy sleep habits, feeding routines, and overall infant care.
Areas of Expertise:
Newborn Care: Feeding, diapering, swaddling, soothing techniques, and monitoring the baby’s health and proper development.
Sleep Conditioning: Helping infants develop good sleep habits by fostering age appropriate routines and schedule, most often working overnight shifts.
Parental Education: Assisting parents during the adjustment period with special focus on feeding and safe sleep practices.
Specialized Care: As a NCS, I am trained in working with preemies, multiples (twins, triplets), or babies with special needs.
